Peoria Public Library and the Peoria Humane Society have partnered to bring award-winning artist and author Donna Carr Roberts back to Peoria this September with her latest book!

Donna, a former artist in residence at Bradley University, started her children’s book series — Mr. Fuzzy Ears — using her own dogs as inspiration. The characters in her book are taken from the real-life adventures of her four dogs….Izzy, Scamp, Teddy, and Sofie. She also illustrated the books and her work will be displayed at Peoria Public Main Library’s gallery.

Come see Donna’s original watercolor paintings from her two books and meet her in person as she gives a special reading. The events below are free and open to the public. Signed copies of both of her books will be offered for sale, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the library.

You can get your signed copy of both books by emailing Donna at or see her in person at one of the upcoming events.-
