“To build up a library is to create life.”
— Carlos María Domínguez, author
Friends of Peoria Public Library invests in building a better life for all of us by underwriting enriching library programs and events that are beyond the library’s financial grasp.
On average, this volunteer-led non-profit invests about $25,000 a year to supplement Peoria Public Library’s budget — from crayons and crafts to renting out the entire Peoria Riverfront museum for our annual Summer Reading celebration.
Two other easy ways you can help support the library via Friends:
- Shop at Friendly Finds Bookstore, the underground book store at Main Library.
- Choose Friends of Peoria Public Library when you shop at smile.amazon.com, Amazon donates 0.5% of your eligible purchases – at no cost to you.
You don’t have to be a member of Friends – though we hope you will be – to support the library. You can make a secure donation online by clicking on the Donate button to the right. Not only is your gift secure, but it is also tax-deductible.
Rest assured, your contact information is safe with us too. We do not sell or exchange information.
Your gift, at whatever amount, will be used exclusively to support the library. No member or officer of Friends is paid. We are all volunteers who believe in the great good of public libraries.
