Peoria Public Library’s Lakeview Branch is hosting two simultaneous yet separate Grief Management Workshops on Sunday, April 27.
One will be for adults. The other meeting, in a separate room, will be for ages 8-13. Workshops are from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Free. Drop-ins welcome.
Adult workshop:
Gain tools and confidence to navigate difficult conversations about death, dying, and grief with children. This insightful workshop, led by Seth Errion, LCPC, a local therapist certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying, and Bereavement, focuses on helping adults approach these sensitive topics with care and understanding. Participants will also explore ways to express their own grief, creating space for mutual healing and connection.
Thank you to Seth from Full Circle Counseling and Wellness for providing this adult workshop.
Kid workshop:
Led by Registered Drama Therapist Julie Peters, LCPC, the workshop helps participants learn to identify and understand grief while discovering practical techniques for navigating their emotions. No drama experience required, this is NOT a performance.
Ages 8 to 13.
