AARP Tax Help
Beginning Jan. 20, volunteer tax aides will be scheduling free tax appointments.
Patrons can call (309) 497-2131 or (309) 497-2137 between 9 AM and 3 PM on weekdays between Tuesday, Jan. 20th and Friday, Jan. 30th.
** The only exception is Monday, Jan. 26 when calls will be taken 9 AM to Noon.
Appointments will begin in February and run through April. You must have an appointment. Your tax aide will give you details.
NOTE: Library staff cannot make appointments.
AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program is the largest free, volunteer-based tax assistance and preparation program in the U.S.
Though aimed at people 50 and older and those who have low to moderate incomes, this tax counseling is open to anyone free of charge. You don’t need to be an AARP member to take advantage of Tax-Aide’s knowledgeable volunteers.

Federal Tax Forms
Basic 1040 forms and a limited number of instruction booklets are available at all Peoria Public Library locations. Call your branch to check on availability.

Illinois Tax Forms
The State of Illinois is only providing IL 1040 forms and instructions.
