DNA research for African Americans can be extremely challenging and complicated so Peoria Public Library has partnered with expert genealogist Franklin Carter Smith, co-author of A Genealogists Guide to Discovering Your African-American Ancestors: How to Find and Record Your Unique Heritage.
Learn to identify, understand, and overcome road blocks through a guided and focused approach. Guest speaker Franklin Smith shares best strategies for identifying, organizing, and analyzing matches. He will also use a case study to demonstrate using matches to determine connections between families.
