March 9 is National Genealogy Day! Visit our Local History & Genealogy Department at Main Library, a FamilySearch affiliate library, one of just a few hundred across the U.S.

What does this mean? FamilySearch affiliate libraries have privileges to limited-access FamilySearch databases.
It also means between FamilySearch, Ancestry and  our wealth of historical records and our knowledgeable staff, Peoria Public Library has everything you need to find your family’s roots.
FamilySearch has billions of birth, marriage, death, census, land and court records from more than 130 countries — available digitally for free.
FamilySearch affiliate libraries have access to more records than what is available online to everyone via FamilySearch.org.
This special access is ONLY available at Peoria Public Main Library’s Local History & Genealogy Department, 107 NE Monroe, lower level 1.
Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
